Sian Evans


Sian Evans was a music scholar at the Norwich High School for Girls where she won the music prize and commuted to London weekly to the Junior Guildhall. Sian went on to study viola, piano and singing at the Guildhall.


She has played for various orchestras including the English National Ballet and the English Festival Opera in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Festival Hall. She was also a member of the BBC Symphony Chorus with whom she toured Europe and performed in many Proms.

Sian plays with the Highly Strung String Quartet with 3 ex-NYO members, Caroline Simms, Elizabeth Croad and Sarah Huson. She has played with Robbie Williams, Paul Young and Deep Purple and tours with the Bootleg Beatles both in the UK and abroad.

Sian is also a teacher at Oundle School and the Nottingham High School for boys and is an examiner for the Trinity Guildhall Examining Board.
