Nicola is a oboist, woodwind tutor and music teacher. Growing up in Nottingham, Nicola is a former member of Nottingham Youth Orchestra with fond memories of her time in the orchestra and is delighted to have the opportunity to return to her roots as a tutor. Nicola left Nottingham at 16 to study as a Music Specialist at Wells Cathedral School, from there she went on to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and then moved to New Zealand to begin an exciting career as a freelance oboist, whilst also studying for her Masters in Music.

Nicola enjoyed a varied career freelancing as a professional oboist in New Zealand and Australia, including performing at the 2011 Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony, touring China and Japan and playing in the pit for seasons of the Broadway shows Mary Poppins and Wicked. Now happily settled back in Nottingham, Nicola is enjoys playing with various local ensembles, tutoring and teaching music.
