Roisin Hickey

Roisin started playing the harp after watching a concert and thinking that the harpist was wearing the prettiest dress. She was a member of NYO for six years, a highlight of which was performing a concerto with the senior orchestra in 2012.

Roisin went on to study Physics at the University of Birmingham, where she was the principal harpist of the university orchestras and a music scholar, which granted her harp tuition at the Birmingham Conservatoire.

Now an engineer, Roisin continues to enjoy playing harp for weddings and in orchestras around the Midlands in her spare time.
