NYTO 1st Violins

Tracey began playing the violin at the age of 8 and progressed through the youth orchestras of her native Leicestershire before studying at the Royal College of Music.

She now works as a violin and viola teacher in primary and secondary schools in South East Derbyshire as well as playing and teaching privately.

“It was my experiences in youth orchestras that moulded me into the musician I am, and many of my best musical memories come from that time. It is wonderful to be a part of Nottingham Youth Training Orchestra and see the young violinists develop as players and musicians and progress up through the orchestras. Thursday evening is definitely a highlight of my week!”
