Spring Concert 2026

Full details

We are very excited that we have managed to book Intermediate Orchestra (NYIO) an exclusive trip on Sunday 25th January 2026 (13:30-16:30) to make music together, and visit, the brand new state-of-the-art Sherwood Observatory! https://sherwood-observatory.org.uk

As well as making orchestral music on site, our youngsters will also experience a Planetarium Show, have time to socialise and enjoy some music games together including a venture down to the basement exhibition with their instruments to experience the ‘cathedral acoustics’ of the old Victorian reservoir building on which the Observatory stands.

HOW TO SIGN UP (NYIO members only)

Here's the link to the Google Registration Form where you can also let us know non-attendance:

The trip costs £35.00 (bursaries apply) and this covers hire of Sherwood Observatory for NYIO's sole use, a Planetarium show, NYO tutor fees, plus light refreshments.

If you're not sure if you've already signed up, parents were sent full details by email in Sept, and those that didn't respond had a reminder in late October (email heading 'NYIO to the Stars'). Those signed up will have been sent an email starting with the word CONFIRMATION.

Deadline to sign up: before the trip! We will be assessing numbers in early January to see if the trip is viable.
